10 Things We Love About You

These past couple of weeks have flown by for us! In between Mother's Day, the lake, Alex's graduation party and just having fun around the house with Kiley, I have lost track of this blog! To get back on track and catch everyone up on the past 3 weeks I want to do 10 things we all love and know about our Kiley! So here it goes...

#1: Kiley's smile and the cute way she drags out CHEEEESE when she is taking a picture! And Suzy is always in tow with us no matter where we go, along with Suzy's baba.

#2: Most of the time she's a Mommy's girl, which I happen to love.  By the way these Mother's Day pictures took alot work to get her to stop playing for a minute! She is always smiling for the camera, but to stop playing now that's another issue!

#3: She absolutely love love loves CHEESE and pretty much any other food! Eventhough she is only 2 I think she eats more than her Mommy, who is not going to disclose her age at this time.

#4: She loves to be outside and is always involved.  Here we are at JoJo's softball game and the whole time she was watching and cheering the team on! Our little team motivator!

#5: One of her favorite things and one of mine to watch is her getting so excited about the lake and the boat! She loves the WaWa and is always the happiest when she is riding on the boat! If she is playing in the house and we tell her we are going to go ride on the boat she immediately drops everything and runs for the door! She is always ready to go on the water in her BOOOOAT!

#6: She loves to play with her friends, especially Krush & Kyson.  They are always so sweet to eachother.  Kiley always has something to say and I can just hear her now saying COOOOOWS! She couldn't wait to get over there and feed the cows grass.

#7: Some of the time I must admit she can be a Daddy's girl.  No matter what Kiley is always loving.  Giving kisses, hugs, and saying I love and sometimes screaming it!

#8: I love to watch how excited she gets when I tell her we are going for a ride after supper.  She starts jumping and running for the door.  She is always ready to be outside and riding on her favorite toy, her tricycle! But Suzy, LuLu, her baba, and Suzy's baba must always be with her!

#9: Kiley is always trying to be a helper, everything she sees me do she says, "I help!" So now she is always helping me with folding laundry.  She bundles it up real tight into a ball and plops it down on the pile of folded laundry.  Always makes me smile to see her folding skills!

#10: You can always count on our Kiley Bear to have a smile on her face, acting silly, and most importantly, being the best daughter Mommy & Daddy could ask for!

Playing Peek-A-Boo in the tub!

On Saturday we had Alex's (my cousin) HS graduation party.  I have pictures from that, but will do a separate post. Until then, Gig'em & God Bless!

Our Kiley

Dear Sweet Kiley,

On May 8, 2010 at 10:54 p.m. Mommy and Daddy's eyes met yours for the first time.  The joy and love we felt at that moment is hard to describe and will never change. Our love for you is never ending and is like no other.  You are our life and have brought so much joy into our lives these past 2 years.  I look forward to seeing what a beautiful and witty daughter you will become because you already are the best daughter a Mommy could ask for.  God truly blessed us with a miracle when he gave us you.

They talk about Mommy instincts, but you really don't believe them nor understand that until you have a baby.  I wasn't too sure about how to be a Mommy, but I do know that you made it easy for me.  A sweet baby that slept a lot of hours during the night.  This picture was taken when you were only a few minutes old, but it is a picture that captures you perfectly.  Always paying attention and so very curious.  Always learning new things and definitely not afraid - more so a dare devil.  These past 2 years you have grown and learned soooo much! Everyday you are always so happy! It really has been great for Mommy and Daddy to see all the love that you share with everyone, each and every day.  You can say about half of your abc's (not all in order, but that's still good), you know your name and say it so cute (kitey), you love to take pictures and play with your babies, especially Suzy, and you love to clean - always making sure everything is in its place and driving your dada crazy when you tell him to put his shoes up.  You can be quite demanding at times, but in the end you are always there to give everyone a hug and kiss and tell them "I love!"

Always know that Mommy and Daddy are there for you.  When you have a boo boo we will be there to kiss it, when you want something to eat or drink just ask, but use those manners we have been teaching you! and most importantly when you need a hug we will be there to give you a b-i-g bear hug and many many kisses! Mommy and Daddy would do just about anything to put a beautiful smile on our baby's face!

A beautiful, loving, smart, and precious daughter you are and always will be!
Happy 2nd Birthday Kiley!

Love You Bunches,
Mommy and Daddy

Kiley's birthday weekend

Well, it's official! Our little girl is going to have a birthday tomorrow.  The big 2.  Can't believe that it has been 2 years since our precious baby first met our eyes and my heart melted. Our life has never been the same, I know we would be lost without her.

We have been on the go again.  It's lake season (yay!) and Kiley loves going to see the wawa! and boats! The past two weekends that is where we have been spending our time.  Everytime we load up in the boat she tells me that she needs her jacket and her hat. : ) She wants them on right away! I'm glad she likes wearing her jacket it is so much easier than if I had to fight her everytime we go out on the water.  When Daddy wakeboards she is so concerned that he is in the water.  Everytime he would fall she says, "oh no dada!" and then when we go to pick him up she asks always ask him, "dada, okay?"  She is such a sweetheart.
Mommy! BOAT! She gets so excited when she sees a boat go by on the wawa!
Concerned about her dada being in the wawa.  Asking him, Dada, Okay?  She is so sweet.
Taking control of the boat and driving us around.  At least that is what she thinks she is doing :)

At daycare, Kiley got moved to her new classroom for 2 year olds.  The great news is now everytime she goes to daycare she goes on the potty with no wet diapers.  The bad news is that when I bring her home she wants nothing to do with that potty.  I'm trying to stay consistent with her at home, but what is Mommy suppose to do when she doesn't even sit on the potty?

I also finished Kiley's bedroom, which is now a room for a toddler instead of a baby.  Like Kiley says, "no baby!" If you ask her if she is a big girl she says, "yes!" I worked on her new room for 4 days, but when she saw her new room she was so excited that I didn't even care how long it took!  She said "OH PRETTY!" and gave me hugs and kisses, like I said all that work was worth it to see her beautiful smile. The first night she slept in her toddler bed I was pretty nervous.  If you know Kiley she is a handful and loves to run everywhere.  Laying down in a bed that she can climb out of had me pretty nervous.  To my surprise and glee she slept the whole night in her big girl bed.  She was so excited to go to sleep and has been doing really well with it.

For Kiley's birthday we did a fun filled birthday weekend.  Friday was Sea World.  She loves animals so this was just the place to take her and I was so excited for her.  They had Elmo there and that is Kiley's favorite! Everything Elmo is a must! She saw Elmo and friends perform and dance, played in the water park area, rode the carousel and saw the dolphins, Shamu, and the fish aquarium.  She loved all of it! Before we even left the parking lot she was sleeping, another successful trip! We drove from Sea World to the lake another one of Kiley's favorite places to be.  She thinks she owns the boat.  Telling Pops and Dada where to drive the boat and sometimes trying to drive the boat all by herself! On Sunday, we went to A&M to watch the baseball game against Tech.  My cousin, Trey was pictching that day so we went to watch him.  Kiley had a blast again although it was very HOT! She got to eat cotton candy and decided she wanted to try my soda at the game.  I gave her a tiny sip and the look on her face was priceless! She spit it out and it looked like she had just sucked on a lemon! Good thing though because she doesn't need to drink soda.  Once the sun came out for good, I put a cap on Kiley and she looked at me and said, "I cute!"  She cheered when everyone else did and did a whole lot of running around!  Once we got home she couldn't have been more ready for bed!

Cheering Trey on at the Texas A&M game against Texas Tech.  Trey pitched and they won!
I can just hear her in this picture saying "CHEEEESE!"  She would run to the top of the hill say cheese and let me take a picture, then run down to me and say "Okay!"  She is such a silly girl.

Tomorrow is Kiley's birthday! We are having a small get together with cake and gifts.  Until next week, Gig'em & God Bless!

Easter & Much More!

We have been terribly busy lately! Easter was lots of fun this year.  Kiley loved picking up and "hunting" eggs.  Especially since she is little Miss Picker Upper! She loves to clean and make sure everything is where it is suppose to be.  So picking up eggs and putting them in the basket was exactly the kind of thing Kiley loves to do! She had lots of practice too, 3 hunts in fact.

I absolutely love this picture! My favorite from all her Easter hunts!

The following weekend we went to the lake. She was so excited about seeing the WaWa and going on the boat! She was born for the lake! Did I mention that she is absolutely the best girl at the lake house? She minds so much better up there.

Playing with her new carriage and baby Wendy.  She loves to play babies.

She was so excited to go riding on the boat.  At first she had to get accustomed to it again because the last time she was on a boat it was October or so.  But once we got use to it again she was walking around and directing Pops on where to go! She loved it when we turned around and the wind was blowing in her face! This picture shows exactly what she was doing the whole time we were riding around!

Oh, I forgot to mention that she also turned 23 months old on Easter.  Great....it makes Mommy depressed to think that her little baby girl is going to be 2 soon! It's almost harder for me with her turning 2 than when she turned 1.  At 1 not much changed, but at 2 we have potty-training, a new bed, the terrible 2's...the list is never ending! Right now, I'm just trying to come with terms that she doesn't need to be in her crib anymore.  Not liking that idea one bit.  She doesn't try to climb out of it as of yet, but when she does we better be prepared! I still remember and picture her as a baby, but when she walks into the room screaming Mommy! I know that she my little girl now, a growing and beautiful toddler! Love her to pieces, but wish  I could just keep her small!

Unitl next time, Gig'em & God Bless!

Sunny Days

I love this time of the year! The sun is out and it's not too terribly hot where we can go out anytime of the day.  Kiley loves it outside so you know she is happy about the weather change! Also, I needed it to warm up because Kiley was out growing her winter clothes.

We have been playing outside, swinging and biking and today we went and took pictures in the beautiful wildflowers and bluebonnets! It took us 2 hours to find something that was worth taking pictures in.  I know that sounds crazy, but last year the bluebonnets hardly even appeared and we didn't get pictures of Kiley with the bluebonnets.  So, this year, with the rain the bluebonnets came out and I was determined to find the perfect place for Kiley to have pictures with the bluebonnets.  After an hour of driving Kiley gave up on us and fell asleep and we finally found a spot on 390 in between Gay Hill and Burton.  Kiley did a great job - gave Mommy lots of smiles and great pictures! Afterwards she gave me a high five and became stubborn and absolutely did not want to leave! She even started walking down the private road like she was going to run away! LOL but Mommy caught her.

Telling Mommy "Stop IT!" We were tired of pictures...

Playing peek-a-boo with Kiley Bear! Love her smile!!

Absolutely Beautiful and Photogenic.  I love this photo!

Laughing at Mommy and Nanna being silly. I love this photo because she always sits this way.

Going for a bike ride with Mommy and Dada.  She told me in this picture that she had her hat on.

This past weekend Mom and I went to Las Vegas for our first mother/daughter trip. We went to the ACM Awards and ended up being one of the best shows I have ever seen! The entertainment was awazing and the absence of not seeing Jason and baby made the heart grow fonder.  I missed them and was so excited to get my hugs and kisses once we got home.  The trip was great and I can't wait to go somewhere again with my Mama!

Easter is just around the corner and I think this time Kiley will understand to go pick up the eggs.  Probably not why we are doing it, but will definitely want the candy! Until next time, Gig'em and God Bless!

My Baby is Growing Up

Last week unfortunately, Kiley turned 22 Months old...where has the time gone? She is quickly growing up and everyday is a new accomplishment for her.  It's exciting to hear all the new things she knows but not so exciting to see my baby turn into a toddler right before my eyes.

I want this post to be about Kiley's many accomplishments just in the past two weeks and also some of the funny things she says.  She is definitely silly and is constantly running around! Busy, Busy, Busy!

1.  First thing she has started doing is calling Sonni (Nanna's and Pops' dog), Staci.  I don't know where she picked this up from, but now whenever we go to Nanna's she looks at me and holds her hands up and says, "Where's Taci?" or she looks at Sonni and says "Taaaacccciiii!!" We haven't yet mastered our S's so for now Sonni is Taci.  I try to correct her, but she has got it in her mind that Sonni's name is Staci and as far as Sonni responding to her? Ummm no.  He just looks confused!
2.  One thing we have been doing for a while now, but I keep forgetting to mention it is yelling Mommy repeatedly.  I don't know if you have ever seen the commercial from Family Guy where the little son is standing in front of his mom and says, "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, etc" until the mom finally answers, "WHAT?!?" and then he responds "Hi".  Well that is exactly what it is like.  The sad thing is that I try to egg it on and really find it funny when she does it.  So instead of saying what I just respond by saying Kiley which makes her just yell Mommy even louder! Gotta love her.
3.  Another crazy and kind of scary thing is that she is becoming just like me! Yikes! Tonight for example, after her bath she got her towel and I told her it was yucky and dirty and had to go in the dirty basket, she followed me and put it neatly in the basket which is in her closet.  When she looked up at her toys in the closet she noticed that her baby was in the shopping cart.  So, she took Daisy out of the shopping cart and told her that she belonged in the stroller, which is where I always keeps Daisy when she isn't playing with her.  Next thing she did was straighten out her baby doll wagon because it wasn't sitting on the shelf right and then she picked up her vacuum and straightened it in its place on the floor.  This is great because she is cleaning up after herself, but bad too because it is a little on the OCD side, like Mommy is! : )  Daddy is in trouble if he has two of us to contend with!
4.  On March 12, Nanna and I picked Kiley up from daycare.  Before this day she kept singing a song over and over everyday, but I couldn't understand what she was saying.  I knew it had to be something she had learned at daycare, but I couldn't pick up on what words or the tune she was trying to sing.  Well on March 12, I finally heard it! It was the ABC song.  She was singing to herself when I heard her say H-I-J, O-R-T, Now I Know My A-B-C! I couldn't be a prouder Mommy on that day!  Everyday she sings that song and now that I know what she is saying we can sing it together.  I can sing A-B-C-D-E-F-G and she knows to say H-I-J! Now she is my daughter, but I still think that means she is a smart cookie!
5.  On a previous post I wrote that now she was telling us that she loves us.  We would tell her Love You Kiley and she would respond, "Love You."  Well this past two weeks her response has changed.  It is now, "I Love."  It's sooo cute how she says it and it is definitely something I need to catch on video before it changes.  No matter how she says it, it still melts my heart to hear her say it!
6.  Another hilarious story is that when she hides she says BOO! but the funny part is what she says after that.  I was hiding from her I kept saying, "Boo! I See You!"  Well, she thought she would hide and when she did she popped out saying, "Boo, I T.T.!" Lol It was hilarious!
7.  I asked her today while we were eating if she had a good day at daycare, her response was "Yes." I said well that's good, did you learn anything new today baby? Her response was "NO NO NO."  Ummm, I doubt that seriously baby.
8.  Showing her independence we are now trying to do everything on our own.  Put our shoes on, put our pj pants on, the list goes on! The other night I was trying to put her pj pants on and she told me, "NO, I try!"  And wouldn't you know she got one foot partially in which I thought was pretty good! Did I mention that I have gotten alot of patience from having a child? Especially with one as independent as Kiley is!
9.  And our biggest accomplishment has got to be that we finally T.T.ed in the potty! She told me tonight that she had to t.t. and before her bath she sat herself down and the potty and did her business! I was sooo excited and proud of her! This was her first time to ever do that! Hopefully it's all progress from here!

I know that was some winded accomplishments, but if you can't tell already Mommy and Daddy are pretty proud of our little girl! Love her to death!

Our routine in the mornings, mainly weekends.  Eat cereal, watch Nick Jr., and sit in our rocking chair!

Taking her own picture with my phone.  I swear she is better at using the phone than me!

Going shopping for some plants! She loved riding in this thing!

Finally got her to wear her cowboy boots! Ignore the hair in the face, I didn't have time to do her hair yet that morning.

Posing for a picture! Such a cutie pie!

Until next time, Gig'em & God Bless!!

Potty Time!

Tickle monster got Kiley!

Well last time I took Kiley bear to the doctor he gave me the go ahead to let Kiley start trying potty training! I'm excited about it, but am not pushing the issue.  I also found out that Kiley weighs 27 pounds, and is 32 1/2" long.  She is tiny and petite! Every morning we go and sit on the potty with our diaper on and before our bath at night she sits on there without her diaper and repeatedly says, "I t.t.!" Mommy looks, but we haven't quite t.t. in the potty yet.  It will happen sooner or later.  She's not 2 years old yet, but since she was 18 months old she always tells me when she has gone to the bathroom.  No matter what she has done she squats down and grabs her diaper and proclaims "Ewww Weee", "I t.t!" By doing this everybody that happens to be around us knows now, including strangers! You can't help but smile though.   Well now she does that but she also runs for a diaper right away.  She can't stand to be in a wet diaper...so, I think she is ready, but like I said before, I don't want to push it she will let us know when she is ready to use her potty.

Once we got the O.K. from the doctor, Dada, Mommy, and Kiley went to Wal-Mart to go get a potty and one to take on the go.  She was so excited! We got a little pink princess potty and an elmo seat to put on top of the toilet when we are on the go.  She wanted to carry the elmo seat and kept saying, "I t.t. and Momo (which is elmo)!" all throughout Wal-Mart.

Now that we have the potty she loves sitting on it and even knows that she needs toilet paper LOL but not only does she sit on the potty now so does Suzy (her dolly).  This morning I was getting ready and when I looked at the potty she had placed Suzy in there and was sitting there watching her trying to make sure that she went potty! Meanwhile, her other Suzy doll was taking a bath with bath toys and all! Saying that reminds of the other night.  Kiley had just gotten out of the bathtub and I was drying her off.  I went to put lotion on her and she looked at me, put out her hand, and said "Ketchup!" I said no honey, that's lotion.  She said "otion!" So I put some in her hand.  But the next word out of her mouth again was "More, ketchup!" Everything she does is so cute and silly! Mommy loves her so much!

On Friday,  Kiley and I went to Caldwell to go have a playdate with Wednesday and the boys, Krush and Kyson.  We met at their park, which is a great place by the way and then headed over to McDonald's to eat and play some more!  They had so much fun! Kiley is very cautious when she walks and is always careful about trying not to fall so, Kyson was helping her down and up the steps by holding her hands.  I thought that was so sweet and cute.  She loves her little boyfriends.  When it was time to go Kiley hugged the boys and waved and shouted "Bye!" several times.  Once we were on our way home she looked so tired, more like in a daze and once we got home she couldn't wait to get in her crib and take a nap!

Staring into eachother's eyes LOL They are in love.

Smiling at Krush after he went down the slide.  Her turn!

The weekend before Braycen Mersiovsky had a 2nd birthday party.  It was John Deere themed and they had an inflatable jumpy thing, I always forget what they are called.  I wasn't sure how Kiley would react to it because she has never done anything like that before, but once she got used to her surrondings she got in there and had the time of her life! She cried when we left she was having so much fun!

Jump, Jump Jump!

Hey Mommy!

One of the sweetest things Kiley is doing now is telling us that she loves us.  I love to hear her say it! At night before she goes to bed we do hugs, kisses, and say I love you.  When she hugs you she pats your back so sweetly and then gives you a big open mouth kiss and lastly "Wuv wuuu!" It's so sweet and it fills my heart hearing her say that!

Playing Peek-A-Boo with Mommy

Although sometimes she can be a handful and just as stubborn as her Dada her coming into our lives almost 2 years ago has been a blessing! I love being a Mommy, but more importantly I love being Kiley's Mommy.  I can imagine my life without her.  She is a beautiful, sweet, happy and loving daughter and we were truly blessed with a wonderful daughter!

Until next time, Gig'em & God Bless!

Kiley's a Sponge

Lately, Kiley has learned so much in such a short amount of time.  She is soaking up everything like a little sponge! Today, she wanted one of her books down from the shelf (like always) and I got down one of her favorites "Find the Puppy."  Kiley loves anything and everything puppy! At the end it has pictures that ask you to find where they are in the book.  Instead we count the objects and name what the pictures are.  I've been doing this almost every night with her and today she showed me that she had been paying attention.  I asked her, "Where's the plate? Pot? Brush?, etc." and she pointed to each one of the pictures correctly and repeated the name of the object! I couldn't be a prouder Mommy and I'm pretty sure she takes after her Mommy...

Other than all the words she has been saying and even sentences like "What is that?" she has also learned to do Ready? 1,2,3!! and she loves to do rhymes and dance to them.  Her favorite right now is "If your happy and you know it!" and "The Itsy Bitsy Spider!"

Playing outside and swinging!

Valentine's Day was alot of fun for Kiley! They had a party at daycare with a whole lot of food, which is right up Kiley's alley.  She ate a lot of cheetos and dipped that into the cupcake frosting she had.  YUMMY! Weird combination but she loved it! She had fruit too but wasn't interested in that.  All she wanted was cupcakes, milk, and cheetos! : )

Some of Kiley's class - there are 8 total kids ranging in age from 18-24 months.

Eating little weenies for supper.  She ate 15 of those that night!
Showing me that big poo-pack of hers! That's what we call her tummy by the way.

Tonight, after supper we had some time to spare so, we went to the city park for about 40 minutes and let Kiley cut loose! She loves the playground.  The minute she saw the playground she threw up her hands and yelled "Play!"  She couldn't wait to get out of the truck and go have some fun!

Fixing to go down the slide.

Until next time, Gig'em & God Bless!
