It's Christmas Time!

Beep!Beep! Watch out, here she comes!!

As you probably already know Kiley had a great Christmas and enjoyed every minute of it! She has always enjoyed being the center of attention and she definitely was this Christmas season and spoiled of course.

Before all the Christmas festivities began we went to Santa's Wonderland in College Station to go see the lights.  We went during the week so we decided to drive through the lights.  It was a lot of fun and Kiley was so excited to see everything.  We let her out of her car seat and put the windows down so that she could see everything.  The whole time we were there she kept pointing, and saying "WOW" and "WHOA", and that big, beautiful smile of hers never left her face!

We also found time to go eat lunch with Wednesday and Kiley's boyfriends, Krush and Kyson.  Later we had a playdate and exchanged gifts between the kids.  Kiley of course had to get her loving in with Krush and kept giving him hugs and kisses!

It's hard to believe that we just celebrated Kiley's second Christmas.  She makes me feel like a little kid again watching the excitement she has for everything, especially those things that we take for granted.

Kiley's Christmas Party at daycare. They ate a ton of food!

Santa Claus came early to our house this year! We were pretty surprised! When Kiley came out of her room from playing with Nanna she was pretty excited to find her very own car under the tree with lots and lots of presents.  Guess Santa thought that Kiley had been a pretty good girl all year! She was a little overwhelmed and excited and the look on her face when she saw all the presents was priceless! Wouldn't have missed it for the world and luckily I got a great picture of her reaction.

Her priceless reaction to the big red car waiting for her!

Pushing Emma around in the stroller - as of now Suzy has been replaced by Emma and Daisy.  Suzy only gets attention when Kiley is sleeping in the crib.  Poor dolly!

She got a lot of baby stuff - a stroller, a bed, a baby, a baby blanket, a baby wagon, and a baby bottle.  She also got a grocery shopping cart and we push all of this stuff around all over the house ALL the time now.  Our morning routine has gone completely out the window.  We now wake up and have to immediately start playing with all the new toys.  Oh and I forgot to mention that you better not touch them unless she wants you to.  Those are her toys, so hands off!

Playing with her drum set.

There are so many more cute pictures but the internet is being really slow...I'll have to upload these another day!

Our little girl is changing everyday.  Not only is she getting tall she also says new words everyday and can say things really clearly now.  Some stuff I still can't figure out what she is saying, but she repeats the same "words" over and over so, I know she is trying to tell me something, just what?  She talks all the time, I mean it is non-stop, even to the dogs...

We are so in love with you Kiley and we hope you enjoyed your second Christmas! This whole year you have grown so much - from being a baby to now a toddler who is running, and squealing, and playing all the time! Always happy and always loving - how could we not spoil you? You are what we look forward to in the mornings - you are our life! Love you so so much! - Mommy & Daddy

Until next time, Gig'em & God Bless!

Family Portraits

Jason and I made an agreement this year, our christmas present to eachother was going to be professional family photos.  I'm huge on taking pictures of Kiley, but believe it or not this was our first family portraits.

Of course, I picked the coldest day yet, December 6.  I didn't want us to wear coats and it was going to be outside.  So, instead we wore a ton of layers - Kiley had 3 shirts on and a sweater if that tells you anything! The same photographer that did Kiley's one year photos also did our family photos.  He's been doing photography professionally for 20 years and takes the photos at the Arboretum in Austin.  His name is John and his business is Knotting Hill Photography.  Kiley was a sweetheart and loved all the attention! One thing about it, Kiley has always smiled for the camera!  I'll leave you with some of the photos that we loved the most!

And that's only some of the good ones...Hope you enjoyed!

This is a picture from this weekend when we went to the lake house.  The first thing she wanted to do was put on her life jacket and play with her toys! :) She was so excited to be at the lake house.  It has got to be her favorite place to spend her time!

On a side note, I've got to talk about something that Kiley said today.  Lately, she has been telling us when she goes potty (a good sign I know).  Well today while we were at Nana and Papa's she said "PooPoo." I asked her, "Kiley did you poopoo?" and she responded "Ewww We." lol I'm not sure if I should talk about this on a blog, but it's got to be one of the funniest things I have ever heard her say yet! Gotta love our Kiley Bear!

I'll leave you with that and until next time, Gig'em & God Bless!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas time is fast approaching for Kiley and Jason and I are super excited for her second Christmas!

She is at that stage right now where she is beginning to notice that things are different with decorations, etc..  The first time she walked in and saw the christmas tree was priceless.  She just stood by it and stared in awe at the lights.  It was an amazing moment to be able to see through her eyes for a little bit! That night when the decorations were up we took Kiley outside to go see Santa and his elves.  She was so excited to see Santa and continually repeated "Ho! Ho!." She looked like a little elf herself and was giving Santa kisses and hugs.  It was so sweet to watch and made me realize what a joy she is in our lives and what a joy she brings to the holiday!

Last weekend we took Kiley out to the Lights of Tejas.  She enjoyed every minute of it.  First of all we were outside, second she was in her jogger, which she loves, and third she loved starring at all the lights.  It was a great family time night with Nanna and Pops and we plan on going to Santa's Wonderland in College Station.  Can't wait to see her face light up again!

This is a rough picture of what our Christmas family picture looked like.

Yesterday, we saw Santa Claus!  We were super worried about her reaction this year considering that she is now 19 months old and we figured she would put up a fight when it came to sitting on Santa's lap.  I mean you must admit Santa looks pretty different from the rest of us, if I was a 1 1/2 year old I wold be scared too!  So, in knowing this knowledge we tried to prep Kiley with a stuffed Santa doll that she sleeps and plays with in her crib.  Every chance we got we talked about Santa hoping that when it was meeting time she wouldn't freak out and run for the nearest exit.  It didn't work! The minute she saw Santa she stopped in her tracks and just stood there.  Then reacted by wanting Mommy and Daddy to protect her from him.  We did get a picture without her screaming which I consider a success! She wouldn't sit on his lap, but she would sit in a rocking chair next to Santa as long as she had a book.  Like I've said before she loves books! So, as long as our little book nerd had a book to look at she was fine sitting next to Santa.

A rough picture of Kiley and Santa.  The irony of this picture is that her shirt says, I love Santa!

Of course, today she walked around acting so excited everytime she saw Santa on T.V. or in a book! Yelling out Ho!Ho! at the top of her lungs.  You would never have known that she wanted nothing to do with him yesterday. It was the farthest thing from her mind!

Another post next, mostly photos-family portraits that is! Gig'em & God Bless!

Silly Girl!

After Christmas Card photos and a nap, we went to Nanna's where Kiley was acting so silly! This is the same dress in the last post that I sewed.  She loves to talk on the phone which is exactly what she is doing here!

The other night I was doing laundry and next thing I know she found my bra and decided to wear it as a necklace.  I couldn't stop laughing at her.  She is a character! I love her cute little round face in this picture and her huge smile along with it!

This week we have been decorating, and I have been crafting Christmas decorations and finishing up Christmas gifts.  It's been a busy week to say the least! Kiley is loving every second of it.  When she got home from daycare last Wednesday I had the tree up and decorated.  The look on her face when she first saw the tree was priceless.  Her eyes lit up seeing all those lights and she looked amazed! It was the sweetest thing - the things we take for granted that children love! Jason put up the outside lights on Friday and later that night we took Kiley outside to go see them.  She was sooo excited and loved the Santa Claus cut out! She kept pointing at him and saying "Ho Ho."  She is excited now to see him, but we will see how she reacts when it's time to take pictures on Santa's lap.  For some reason I'm thinking that won't go as smoothly!

Until next time, Gig'em & God Bless!

Gobble Gobble

For Turkey Day we went to my Nana and Papa's.  Kiley loved it there because of course she was center of attention.  What 18 month old doesn't love that? She also loves to eat-pretty much all the time which is exactly what she did that day.  She ate all kinds of cookies and dessert rolls and then had lunch and went back for more dessert! She even took a nap for us while we were there! We enjoyed being able to see the family and I was relieved that it went so well for Kiley and that she had a good day!

We took these pictures outside, where Kiley loves to be and she is wearing one of the dresses that I sewed for her! I finally finished all three and am happy to say that they all turned out great! I was pretty pleased and plan on making more for her.

The next day we went to College Station.  No, not to go shopping, believe it or not, but to take Christmas card photos.  Last year, we went to Texas A&M and took photos for the cards and decided that we were going to make it a tradition.  So, back we went on Friday and Kiley did a great job! It was a lot easier last year getting the photos we wanted because she wasn't mobile, but I still got some great shots for the cards.  I didn't want to include too many photos so you would still have a surprise for when the cards arrived in your mailbox! Can't believe how close Christmas is getting! I'm so excited for Kiley this year - I know she is going to have so much fun opening gifts this year! And since she has been a good girl this year, I think Santa will be rewarding her with a ton of gifts!

Future Aggie - Class of 2032! Whoop!

This is another one of the dresses I sewed.  I sewed it Thanksgiving night so it would be ready for pictures!

Thanks for visiting! Gig'em and God Bless!

Road Trip!

Tuesday, November 15-17 Kiley and I ventured up to Amarillo to go see our good friend December and meet her new baby, Drake who was 3 weeks old at the time.

Fortunately for us we didn't exactly take a "road" trip.  Driving would have taken 8 hours and there is no way I can do that with an 18 month old so, we flew.  Of course there is no direct flights so, we went from Austin to Dallas and from there to Amarillo.  The flights went really smoothly and Kiley did great! The hardest part was me trying to carry and push and pull everything around the airports! I was so worn out from just doing that, but Kiley had a ton of fun and we were glad that we made the trip!

Kiley playing outside.  I would throw the ball up as high as I could and she would laugh and clap her hands! This day it actually got what I call cold and so I made sure that Kiley was bundled up! Snug as a bug in a rug!

Kiley giving Drake kisses! He was so sweet and so quiet.  We love him so much!

Once we got home, Kiley started clapping her hands with excitement and then she slept for 5 hours.  Pure exhaustion! Good thing she slept because I need some rest too after trying to manage all of our bags, and a stroller, and a playpen.  Once she woke up I gave her a bath and she sat on the sofa so content and happy to be home!

The next day, Dada got home from work and Kiley was so excited to see him! Last time we saw Daddy was that Sunday because he worked Monday for the fire department.  We both missed him terribly! She wouldn't let him set her down and gave him soooo many kisses and hugs.

I've been having so much fun with Kiley lately.  She tries to repeat everything we say and is constantly saying more, baby, and papa.  I think those have to be her favorite words right now!  They sound so sweet coming out of her mouth and I love when she says bye and blows kisses.  I still need to get all of this on video, but like I have said before that is no easy task now!

Feeding herself yogurt like a big girl and watching tv.

Nanna and Pops got Kiley a little dog that barks and walks.  At first she didn't know what to think when I turned it on.  She got kind of shy and sat on my lap watching it.  Eventually, she got a little more brave and now she carries it around everywhere! Her new favorite toy!

Another post to follow after this about Turkey Day!
